Love at First Bite (Map) is the latest craze in the dining scene in Oman. It claims to be Oman’s first themed restaurant and lounge and it is located in Shatti Al Qurum in the building behind Al Masa Mall.
GBK (Gourmet Burger Kitchen) is British burger chain with a branch in Oman in Muscat City Center (Telephone: 2455 8065 – Map). I reviewed it last year and I wasn’t exactly its biggest fan, but they introduce a number of new items on its menu sometime recently so I thought I’ll go give it another shot.
Layali Esafhan (Telephone: 2460 5515 – Map) is an Irani restaurant located in MQ. It has been around for a very long time and is known as a place for dining and takeaway. It is also one of those restaurant with an extremely annoying spelling mistake in its name, because the second word in the name is meant to be spelt Esfahan after the name of the city and not EsAfhan. Anyway, I still decided to give it it a shot with the hope that its owners can cook better than they can spell.
A lot of people are wondering about what restaurants I like to go to when I am not doing a review, you know, the restaurants I actually like. So I thought I’ll do the first ever list of top 10 restaurants that I can’t seem to get over. All the restaurants mentioned after the jump were reviewed in the past, so you can learn more about them by reading the full reviews found elsewhere on the website.
The Jungle (Telephone 2456 1700 – Map) is a new themed restaurant located right next to the main entrance of Qurum Natural Park. I was personally not excited at all about this restaurant as it seemed too silly and juvenile of a concept for me at least. I still had to go check it out for the sake of writing a review about it for the Omani Cuisine.
Royal China (Telephone 24571339 – Map) is a new Chinese restaurant located in Shatti Al Qurum. It is located right next to the Qurum Park roundabout in Qurum Gardens building next to where My Cupcake and Fuala is located.
I was invited early last month to try out the Swiss Week special at Mocka Cafe at the Grand Hyatt in Shatti Al Qurum. I have never had a meal at the Mocka Cafe before so I was excited to try it out.
As Sammak (Telephone: 2474 9111 – Map) is a beachside seafood restaurant located in Al Sifah which is a bit more than 40 KM south of the capital, it is technically part of the Sifawy Boutique Hotel in Jebel Al Sifah, but it is detached from the hotel.
After struggling to find the time at which Left Bank (Telephone 2469 3699 – Map ) was open for lunch, I finally managed to try it out. Left Bank is a lounge, bar and restaurant located in Shatti Al Qurum on the hill by the Sultan Qaboos Road right next to Mumtaz Mahal.
